Saturday 17th November – training morning at Salisbury Trench planned by Tamsin Moran. Meet 10.30 am at the Long Cross Car Park at the Northern End of Salisbury Trench (GR SU 251150). Feel free to turn up anytime during the morning as we will be based in sight of the car park. Probably aiming to finish around 1pm?
The training is suitable for all ages and abilities and is a great opportunity to improve your navigational skills.
The courses have been planned to focus on key skills that are highly relevant for New Forest orienteering including the use of compass, selecting the optimum route choice and adapting your orienteering technique as the terrain changes on a course. There will be an opportunity to be shadowed by a coach who can help you and give advise to improve your orienteering.
If you took part in the event at Salisbury Trench in October then feel free to bring your map along if you wish to look over your course with a coach or revisit some control sites.
