There will be no club nights in January and February 2011.

UK Masters Cup

Profile picture for user Colin Hicks
By Colin Hicks , 10 December, 2010

You may have already seen in the external news the British Orienteering announcement of the events that will count towards the UK Masters Cup for 2011.

It seems that the Caddihoe Chase has been selected ahead of the November Classic, even though the Classic was listed in the draft document from British Orienteering.

When this was queried the official response was that a great deal of lobbying had taken place to include the Caddihoe Chase, at a direct expense of the November Classic. Considering the November Classic has the largest number of participants in the relevant age classes for the Cup outside of BOC and JK, this is very disappointing, and indicates that British Orienteering hold the Caddihoe Chase in higher regard, as an orienteering competition.
