Organisers Comments

Thank you for coming along to the Bramshaw event. I was a little concerned that the conditions may have been detrimental to your orienteering experience but many of you enjoyed the courses and the wet and the mud!

As always much appreciation to the SOC helpers who made the event run so smoothly. Sorry to the control collectors who had to endure the awful conditions at the end of the event.

Thank you all.

Planners Comments

The time between starting and finishing the planning process brought about a number of changes to the event area! Changes that, underfoot, were not reflected on the map - intermittent streams constantly flowing, small marshes got much bigger, paths 'morphed' into streams and some rides became muddy traps for the unwary!

Recent storms also brought down a number of trees which needed to be circumnavigated making route choice options more tricky.

Moral for the event. Hope for the best and plan for the worst especially when nature is an active participant!

Attached are the Open and Age Graded tables up to and including event 8. Andy Snell leading in both tables. The recent SOC event at Lymington was event 11 in the series, so the league table results are a little adrift. There are 4 more events remaining in the series with the next hosted by WSX at Corfe Mullen on Monday 2nd February 2026, followed by the SOC night event at Hursley Park on Thursday 19th February 2026.
