Saturday 15th December – training morning on Highland Water. Meet 10.30 am at Acres Down Car Park (GR SU 267097). Feel free to turn up anytime during the morning as we will be based out of the car park. We will be aiming to finish around 1pm.

The training is suitable for all ages and abilities and is a great opportunity to improve your navigational skills.

The courses have been planned to build on our last training morning at Salisbury Trench but will also be very beneficial if you couldn’t make it last time. The training will include a compass exercise, map memory, relocation practise and a traffic lights course. There will be an opportunity to be shadowed by a coach who can help you and give advise to improve your orienteering.

If you took part in the event at Highland Water in November then feel free to bring your map along if you wish to look over your course with a coach or revisit some control sites.

To all SOC members: a great opportunity to get involved in the biggest annual multiday event in the country and it's only just up the M3.
