MapRun League Finale
The Summer MapRun league concluded yesterday with the end of the Barton on Sea event. Thanks once again to Iain Robinson for planning. It was close at the top, with Andy Snell and Paul Thwaites both getting 790 of the available 820 points. Both were late back, though, and taking into account time penalties, Andy took the win. Wing Lo took the third-place spot, with Julia Loring the first lady. Full results are here. Those with the event pin code can see competitors' tracks, including Iain's "optimal route" for all the controls (11.6 km).
In the final league results, David Currie remains at the top of the table, having won the first three events, followed by Andy and then Paul. Christine Currie was the first lady, followed by Kate Gedny and Lisa James.
Thanks to all those that supported the league, either as planners or participants. If you have any feedback, please email it to maprun [at] socweb.org (maprun[at]socweb[dot]org).
